How the review request works

Submit a sample and a short request. If we select your book, we write an independent review, share it with you before it goes live, and publish it for our reader audience.

·Sample needed: first 4 chapters (plus prologue if your book has one)
·Same genre and content rules as our short stories — family-bookshelf speculative fiction; no graphic violence, horror, or explicit content
·Selection notice generally within two weeks (not a guarantee of review)
·You see the review before posting and may cancel the request for any reason
·No fees and no guarantees — same spirit as our short-story submissions

Editorial standards

We look for books that sit comfortably on a family bookshelf: uplifting, clean-ish speculative fiction across science fiction, fantasy, alternate history, time travel, and adjacent genres.

We look for:

· Strong voice and compelling concept
· Hopeful, purposeful, or emotionally resonant stories
· Clean language (mild expressions are fine)
· Dark themes handled with care

We pass on:

· Graphic or gratuitous violence
· Explicit sexual content
· Horror or psychological terror
· Strong profanity
